Slide Options
Review the slide-level settings available in the Slide Settings panel under the builder slide manager area.
Slide Options
Slide options are edited from the builder panel labeled Slide Settings. These controls affect only the active slide, not the entire slider and not an individual layer.
Where to Find Them
In the builder, slide options are available under the Slide Settings panel in the slideManager area.

Typical Slide Workflow
Use Slide Settings immediately after creating or selecting a slide.
Recommended order:
- select the target slide
- open
Slide Settings - choose the
Background Style - configure the background media
- return to the canvas and add layers
This keeps the slide frame ready before you start placing content on top of it.
What Slide Options Control
Slide options define the background and media presentation for the current slide.
They control:
- the slide background type
- the slide background color
- the slide background image
- the slide background video
- supporting media display settings such as image size, image position, repeat behavior, and video cover images
Background Style
The first slide option is Background Style. It determines how the slide background is built.
Available background styles include:
ColorImageExternal Image SourceFeatured ImageJSON ImageVideoTransparent
Featured Image is primarily intended for sliders whose Source Type is Posts.
In that workflow, the active post’s featured image becomes the slide background automatically when the slide renders in preview or on the front end.
JSON Image is primarily intended for sliders whose Source Type is JSON import.
In that workflow, the slide background uses the field mapped as Image URL Field in the JSON source settings.
Image-Based Slide Options
When the slide uses an image background, the available options include:
- background image URL
- external image URL
- background image size
- background image position
- background image repeat
- background color overlay or base color
This group is also relevant when Background Style is:

Color-Based Slide Options
When the slide uses a color, image, or external image background, the builder also provides a background color field.
This is useful for:
- solid-color slides
- fallback color behind transparent images
- tint or color layering in the slide design
For source-driven sliders, background-image styles are often paired with text, caption, button, or HTML layers that use placeholders such as:
{{post_title}}{{post_excerpt}}{{post_link}}{{featured_image}}{{title}}{{description}}
Video-Based Slide Options
When the slide background style is set to Video, you can choose the background video source.
Supported video background providers are:

- MP4 video URL
- WebM video URL
- OGG video URL
- video cover image URL
YouTube Background Video

- YouTube cover image URL

Slide Options vs Slider Options
Use slide options when you want to change only one slide.
Examples:
- change one slide from an image background to a video background
- set a different cover image for one slide
- adjust the background image position for a single slide
Use slider options instead when the setting should affect the whole project.
Examples:
- autoplay
- transitions
- slider width and height
- dots, numbers, thumbnails, and controls
